AI
- How is Otopic's AI different from a chatbot?
- AI is how work gets organized in Otopic, not a bot on the side. Because work is stored as structured, human-readable text, the AI can quote, summarize, and link real notes and decisions instead of guessing at visual state. More →
- How do I use the AI?
- One AI assistant you talk to or chat with: it finds things, does things, and answers questions from your Topics — with sources, and only from what you can see. On desktop it is the first thing in the menu; on your phone, a button in the corner of every screen. More →
- Can the AI see Topics that aren't shared with me?
- No. The agent works with your permissions and nothing more, and it links the sources of every answer. Before anything that affects other people — sharing, sending a message, moving something to the trash — it asks you to confirm. More →
- Does the Free tier include AI?
- Only as a trial — a one-time €1–3 AI trial credit per user. When it runs out, buy prepaid AI top-ups, or pick Standard (one person) or Teams (the whole team), which include a monthly AI credit allowance. More →

- Where does my data live?
- On the hosted tiers, in Otopic's cloud. On the Enterprise tier, Otopic deploys into your own AWS organization and your data never leaves your boundary — compliance becomes architectural, not contractual. More →
- Can distributed enterprises keep data in-region?
- Yes. Sovereign deployments can run per-region for multi-jurisdiction data residency while the organization shares one project brain. More →
- Why text-first storage?

- What does Otopic cost?
- Free is €0 with full collaboration and a one-time €1–3 AI trial credit per user. Standard is €10–15 per month for one person, with a monthly AI credit allowance. Teams is €10–15 per user / month with an AI credit allowance pooled across the team, multiple workspaces, client-branded views, and priority support. Enterprise is pay-as-you-go (AWS + AI + subscription) for BYOC deployments. Beyond the allowance: prepaid AI top-ups, no surprise bills. More →
- Do my clients need paid seats?
