How it works

From first note to a client who stops asking

No rollout project, no admin, no PM overhead. A Topic accumulates memory as your team works, and the AI puts that memory to use.

  1. 01

    Open a Topic

One container for one piece of work.

    • Three taps on mobile, no setup project, no admin.
    • The note is the durable source of truth; chat, tasks, and decisions sit beside it.
    • Invite teammates and client-side stakeholders — client seats are always free.
  2. 02

    Work in it

The Topic accumulates memory as you go.

    • Conversation happens in the Topic's chat, attached to the work instead of lost in a messenger.
    • Decisions are recorded where they were made, as short readable text.
    • Everything is stored text-first: structured, human-readable, AI-parseable.
  3. 03

    Let the AI manage

The overhead nobody has capacity for, handled.

    • The AI drafts status updates from what actually happened in the Topic.
    • Stalled work surfaces itself before someone has to notice.
    • "Where are we on this?" is answered from the Topic's own memory.
  4. 04

    Clients self-serve

The Topic answers, not a person.

    • Client-facing views show external stakeholders the actual state of the work.
    • Client-branded views (Pro) make the workspace feel like your firm's own.
    • Clients who live in your Topics bring Otopic into their own organizations.

Why text-first matters

Otopic stores work as structured, human-readable text rather than opaque rich-text blobs or visual state. A decision recorded as a short paragraph is one the AI can quote, summarize, and link later; a decision buried in a comment thread on a color-coded card is not. Plain text is also portable, diff-able, and readable in ten years.
