The Topic
The Topic — a unit of work that remembers
A Topic is a durable container holding notes, chat, tasks, decisions, and AI context in one place. Every Topic remembers its own context and history, so nothing evaporates between tools.
One container, not five tools
Work today is fragmented across calendars, chats, docs, and boards, and context dies in the gaps. In Otopic, everything about a piece of work lives in its Topic: the note is the durable source of truth, the chat is conversation attached to the work, and tasks and decisions sit beside them.
A memory of work
Because a Topic keeps its history, it can answer "where are we on this?" without anyone reconstructing the story from six apps. Decisions stay findable, context stays attached, and new people can read their way in.
Text-first by design
Otopic stores work as structured, human-readable text, not opaque rich-text blobs or visual state. Plain, structured text is what AI parses accurately, and it stays portable, diff-able, and readable in ten years. The UI can be rich; the storage layer stays minimal.
See it early
Otopic opens to a small group of early teams first.
